The Scoop
I am a big fan of the mid to high waist, wide leg pant. I love how it forms a long lean line, no matter your size. When wearing the style, finding the right top for me can be a challenge because I am looking for balance. I have read that you want to divide your outfit into thirds to use the “Rule of Thirds for a balanced look. Here my jeans are 2/3rds and my top is the other third.

My Look
I am wearing a pair of jeans (Banana Republic) from last summer along with a top (Tommy Bahama, thrifted and 100% silk) and a pair of wedge sandals (Marc Fisher) that are several years old. My bag (Dooney & Bourke) is also old but one so distinctive that I always can’t wait to carry it. But I am very careful not to damage it because I don’t think I could ever find one like it. My earrings are old (Tuckernuck) and my necklace is one I got on vacation in Mazatlán, MX many years ago. I’m wearing my hair in pig tails because I like the look and because my hair is so long it is a bit of a mess too often. I get it cut today, and I still don’t know how I want it cut. ha ha!
